Weeeeee! Problem solved! We have cable TV alright, but some of my favorite shows are not being carried by my provider. I am not willing to get another cable subscription for those shows that I like, it’s just not practical if you know what I mean. Good thing I came across this Free TV while surfing the net. These are one of the perks you get for being an internet junkie. You find a lot of things that you never knew existed. Yay I can now watch the tv shows that I missed, the current shows that I follow and not to forget the soaps that make me cry. I love how it’s being categorized, looking for a particular show is never hard. I guess from now on I will be an avid follower of their Home and Garden TV. I don’t know but I just love watching these kinds of show. It’s probably the homemaker in me. My daughter would love History TV. I often catch her watching shows like these. She says she enjoys it and at the same time she learns a lot about history and all. She goes after her Dad who loves watching these kinds of shows too. Sometimes I don’t even know what they are talking about anymore. At least I pick an information or two and it’s not that bad listening to them.

I first heard from a friend that we already have Payless here in the Philippines. I actually didn’t notice that it was on the same floor as Forever21, though a few shops away and it’s across. I went to Megamall to have lunch with some friends and I took the opportunity to just take a look. But when I found this pretty shoes, I immediately thought of my daughter. This is the kind of shoes that she’d like to have. I don’t have second thoughts of buying her shoes all the time since she wears her uniform everyday. It’s to add some spice to her boring uniform. Back in high school she was very excited to go to college simply because she has been wearing the school uniform her entire life. Little did she know that indeed she’ll wear a uniform her entire school life

The shoes in Payless are comfy, I should know I bought one for myself too. Well at least with the pairs that I bought that is. I really don’t know if it’s pricey or not, but with the comfort it gives me, I don’t mind paying more.

One of the wisest thing for me to do when I get lots of money is to invest it in something that I think is safe. People have been saying that gold is a wise investment, and this has been going on for centuries already. A lot have proved that this is one way of preserving one’s wealth. Gold can be a universal currency, very liquid and very easy to dispose too. I wish I had lots of gold coins but as it is I only have one. This can be a good start. Well I have some gold jewelry, I think that counts as an investment too. Now I remember someone who had to sell almost all of her gold jewelry because she got to the lowest point in her life financial wise. Actually she didn’t expect that she will get that much when I handed her the money because at the back of her mind, one can always get less especially if the items have been purchased beforehand. Not when it comes to gold I tell you. If you monitor the price of gold, it either remains the same or appreciates a little but it never depreciates in value.

When I was single, I really didn’t pay much attention to cars. To me it’s just a mode of transportation used to bring you around. I didn’t even admire cars that caught other people’s attention. I’m talking about cars that have accessories. To me it was a waste of money since I really didn’t see it’s function or importance. I only got to understand it better when I got married. The husband is fond of setting up vehicles. But he did it not only for it’s aesthetic sense but it was functional. He sees to it that whatever accessories he adds will have a purpose. It was him who taught me to appreciate the accessories each car has. There was even a time that I was fascinated with chrome rims. It looked cool and very clean all the time. It brought out the design of the rim. It seemed that those rims were not hard to clean and when you look closely, it didn’t accumulate as much dirt. I think this is the advantage of having this kind of rim, well aside from the fact that it looks really really nice. The husband also once told me that part of what will make any vehicle look more beautiful are the set of tires and of course it’s matching set of rims.

I thought I won’t have a chance to watch them perform. Yeah I see them on TV but I want to watch them sing live. I’ve seen them perform live once, but I really didn’t take notice how good they were because I was bothered by Jonalyn Viray’s style. I found her OA really, but them I learned to appreciate her voice and her moves. I started liking her and the 2 other girls because I find them really talented. Their voices compliment each other. I was so happy when I learned that they had a repeat. By hook or by crook I should watch their show. Nelson was generous enough to get us tickets, and in order to make me more happy, he picked the seat closest to the stage. We ended up transferring though because we couldn’t see them properly. They were good, you should watch them live. I’m starting to like Jonalyn’s sexy moves too, among the three of them, she would really catch your attention. It’s like she’s the only one of stage because you can’t take your eyes off her. Haha I sound like a Jonalyn fan but what the heck!

I’m a bit limping, I think I got it from aerobics. No, don’t tell me that aerobics is not doing any good to me, but on the contrary it does! I’m not even sure if I got it from there, but you see ever since I did it Mondays thru Fridays, I started feeling the pain. Am I too young to have arthritis? Am I too young to feel any joint pains? I’m in my early 40s, no make that mid so yeah it’s probably joint pains. I haven’t been really moving or exercising prior to my joining the aerobics class. I probably got too eager with aerobics forgetting to do some warm ups before the actual class. I should be going early so that I will be able to do the warm up as this is very important to one’s fitness thing. But anyway I will be reading the Review of Trigosamine so that if it’s a case of arthritis then I have an idea of what medication I will use. Having joint pains is no joke. Mine is located in the left knee and I’m having a hard time stepping on the clutch. I don’t want to end up not driving at all since I am the one who moves around bringing everyone else to it’s destination. Hopefully it’s not arthritis but just plain joint pains. I think I’m too young to have arthritis anyway.

It was my father-in-law’s birthday yesterday. He turned 93, very very strong despite his diagnosis. Anyway we celebrated his birthday by having dinner at some posh restaurant. It was an intimate dinner with only the immediate family members invited. I haven’t seen my BIL for quite sometime as he was missing in most of the affairs. And you know what, he couldn’t believe that I grew this big. He said that I grew twice as much, uh oh I don’t want to hear it. I was quite bothered really that I was thinking of these weight loss diets for women. I think I need it so bad. I haven’t really been eating a lot but I think there is something wrong with my diet. It’s high time that I really pay attention to it and not some crash diets. I need to be serious on this because there’s not stopping to the weight gain. I wasn’t as heavy as this before or a few months back and the weight gain is really alarming now. Even my Mom noticed it. I see her once a week and she tells me that I’m putting weight every week. Gee I don’t know but this is getting serious. I need to lose weight now, seriously!

I’ve been cooking asparagus for a few years now and I can’t seem to let the boy eat it. Turned out he didn’t want the way I cooked it. I wrap the asparagus with very thin slices of beef and steam it for about 2 minutes, then stir fry it in soy and vinegar. Apparently, the taste of the asparagus dominates everything which he does not like. I had to find another way on how to cook it since I really want them to eat asparagus as I have read that this help fights cancer. None of them have cancer, thank God, but sadly it runs in the family. I am in constant search for food that I can let them eat that prevents the big C.

Is it part of their collection? But if it was, why do they buy in bulk and why is it so often? Later on I found out that yes they are collecting but it was more on an investment rather than the hobby of collecting. Cool isn’t it? And why do they invest in gold? To them it is a wise investment. Yeah come to think of it! When it comes to the price of gold, have you heard it going down? I think never in the history of gold that it’s price have gone down. Please correct me if I’m wrong. But yeah, it’s either going up or just maintaining it’s value but not for long. Now we all can understand why many invest in gold.

I only see it in the movies, in the television shows and I thought I’d be seeing it when we went to the US, but no luck. I’m talking about those rvs that I see only in the screen. Of course you’d like to see scenes come to life, isn’t it? Well for me and my family, that’s what we want to happen. We’d like to experience it too you know. You can’t blame me because in the country where I come from, we don’t see too many RVs or we don’t see one at all. I heard that it’s being used by some actors and actresses, not that they live there, it is a temporary shelter for them whenever they are on location. That’s one purpose of a RV too. Sometimes I don’t know what it’s like to be living in one. If you are used to living in a house, would you find it weird or difficult living in a RV? I can probably do it, but for a limited period of time probably. But I don’t know too because I learned that it gives you the same comfort as living in a house. You get everything too, the basic that is. Well you can turn it into a luxurious RV if you want to, everything is possible especially if you have money. Those actors and actresses, they seem to have a contest on who’s RV is the most beautiful, I should know it’s being shown on TV, well not like they tell to the whole world that mine is more beautiful, but the way they fixed and accessorize it is already a statement.

I am so glad that little by little the economy is picking up. A lot have been affected, even the rich people. It’s just sad that things like this have to happen but we don’t really have control over this, it’s global I may say. A lot of people have lost their jobs, those ones who had 3 jobs now has only 1. And how do you think these people make both ends meet? It’s hard as it is, we need to tighten our belts and reassess how we spend. But sometimes even if you try all possible means to save, it’s just not enough. Good thing there are companies where you can avail of loans. To some, this is the solution to their problem. They actually have a loan designed for each and every need. I can name a few like Bad Credit Loans, Debt Consolidation, Student Loan, Car Loan, name it they almost have it all. Sometimes I am tempted to avail of a loan to pay off everything in my credit card bill. It’s too taxing to go to each bank just to pay, consolidation is not being offered at the moment. I rather pay just one company so that I will not miss out on the other companies. You know how it is when you are late in paying by a day or two. So to me it’s better if I settle all my bills with just one company. What’s your take on this? Good idea, eh?

I want to squeeze in knitting too since the daughter is requesting that I make her one more slouchy beret. I wish I had more than 24 hours in a day or is it just a matter of how I manage my time? Am I saying that I do have poor time management? I need to think about this so that I will be productive in anything that I do. I hope to be able to balance all these since one aspect is really eating much of my time. This is what happens when I have all the time in my hand, I dilly dally on many things. I forget to prioritize things and it’s always spur of the moment. I don’t think it’s good if it happens everyday. I believe that I need to plan some things so that I can be more productive. Spur of the moment stuff should only happen once in a while. Agree or not?

Whenever I’m at my Mom’s house, I make it a point to fix myself in her dresser. I remember that dresser from way back, when I was still small, in the province where I was born. It’s been with Mom for more than 50 years I think. It still looks good except that the mirror really needs to be changed. I promise Mom that I will take care of it, but sad to say until now I still haven’t done it. I really need to find time to do this because if not I won’t be able to change the mirror. I actually know where to buy the mirror, but then again I keep on forgetting. Gosh, I’m really getting old. I know, that mirror gives away my age, but so what? Age is just a number as a lot of people are saying. Yeah it’s true.

Ooopsie, going back to what I was talking about, did I ever mention that I don’t own a dresser in our house? I don’t know how that happened. I still want to have one though and I was thinking of choosing from one of these bedroom dressers. It somewhat looks like what my Mom has and it would be cool to have one almost similar to what she has. By that I will always be reminded of how a beautiful woman my Mom is.

I’m not really an avid fan of Mac products (I am the only one in the family who isn’t) but with the iPhone, I am totally in love. At first I thought I would have a hard time with it since I wasn’t a Mac user at all. But when it was handed to me, boy I couldn’t stop myself from discovering what there was. I enjoyed it the first time it landed my palm and there was no stopping. Now I can say that I am a number one fan. This is also the reason why I was so looking forward to the launch of Iphone 4. I have read some of the reviews, both good and bad and after reading it I still want to upgrade my unit. I love how the new iPhone 4 looks like, somewhat sleek and sophisticated. I heard too that it’s a lot faster, now I am not even complaining about the speed of the version I have and yet they came out with a faster one. I couldn’t complain more. What I love about my unit is the fact that it takes very good photos which I can immediately post in social networks, this is the fun part and this is why I love having an iPhone too. If I am content with the megapixel of the old one, what can I say about 5? Whoa! I don’t really need to bring my digital camera around. I will be content with the 5 mega that it gives me. Now I can understand why iPhone has a lot of avid followers, I can attest to what everyone is raving about because I rave about it too, isn’t it obvious how I really love my iPhone?

I went around the store but did not find it. I ended up holding that pair (what you see in the photo) and proceeded to the counter. Then I saw the sandals that I really liked. I left the line and looked for a good 10 minutes but did not find it again, only to find our that there were only 2 left, the other pair which was purchased by the lady I saw in line and the size 9 which was left in the basket. Boohoo, I am a size 6. Yes I am a bit disappointed but then again who can’t be happy with that sandals you see on here? I’m going back to Forever21 this afternoon this time with my daughter. I still have a budget left for another pair of sandals. Hope I find a pretty one.

I remembered helping a friend a few years back. I think they were really short on cash because knowing her she wouldn’t part with important stuff. Anyway I got a call from her one day. She was asking if I could dispose of her jewelry, gold in particular. She had quite a lot, all sorts of rings, bracelets, necklaces and even anklets. I know it’s so hard to let go of of these personal belongings, but if the occasion calls for it then why not. The amount I gave her was more than enough to cover that particular need she said. I am so thankful that I was able to help her in my own little way.

Now I remember what I have been hearing from someone close to my heart. He mentioned during our talks that if ever we have extra money, we should invest it wisely. He also told me in passing that investing in gold is a wise decision. He should know because he has been there. He really had a humble beginning and if I look at him now, he is way up there all because of what he mentioned. Time and again he would mention that it’s wise to buy gold coins. I think he did at one time because he was able to give me one and I am still keeping it up to this day. I have seen and witness with my two eyes how gold can rescue a person from financial difficulty. This is one investment where the price does not go down. In my whole existence I have yet to witness the price of gold go down, it always appreciates.

I have a lot of time in my hands especially now that the kids have grown older. They don’t occupy much of my time since they can now take care of themselves. Yes, I was a hands on Mom and I was very visible in their school life. I was always in school to see to it that they have everything they need. I was always there for them helping them out with the assignments and stuff. Now that they can do things on their own and need only minimal help. This is why I’m telling you I have all the time in the world. Now what do I do? I’m thinking of online classes. I’ve done cooking class, I’m thinking of doing crafts class but I think I want something more. Something that will add up to my stock knowledge. A Master’s Degree or a second course perhaps. Did I tell you that I want to be a teacher? I wanted to shift courses when I was in college, but my father didn’t permit me because I was already in my third year. Is this the right time you think? Am I not too old to add another degree? Do I have the time to do these? As they say, nobody is too old to learn. And that time? Now if you are familiar with distance learning on online classes, you’ll agree with me that I have all the time.

As usual I bought a few more stuff, arrrrggghhh why can’t I get enough of nail polish? It’s prolly because they come up with new colors every time I go there and just can’t resist. Oh and that nail art you see in the photo? The saleslady taught me how to do that. I’ve gotten a few ideas already on how to do my nails and it’s cute all the time. And the korean guy (gay?) he does very nice nail art too. And when he does it with your nails, you’ll be encouraged to purchase the colors he used =) Now that’s what you call business strategy.

Forgive the messy hand, that’s what you get when you go DIY. I sometimes press the tube too hard, more than what I need so I wipe it off in my skin.

My little business is starting to take off. I have a few more orders that I need to ship. I am happy because a lot have been appreciating my work. It’s no joke to start a business venture and be successful with it, so I am really thankful to the Lord that mine is slowly picking up. It’s tiring sometimes because I do everything. It is still small and I don’t see the need yet to expand. But then again if I begin to be lazy, how can I be successful?

Anyway I started improving my packaging too. I now have a cute box to put in the stuff that I make. I redesigned my old logo since a lot of them suggested that I put the name Hipncoolmomma. Yes, that is my online name. I’m also thinking of having a business card made. I will be choosing from these custom business cards which I think is apt for my business. Their designs are really catchy, and very pleasing to the eye. The colors are nicely put together making the card attractive just like the stuff that I make. What I like about this site is that it allows you to upload the designs you made yourself. Oh maybe I can do this too, I’m going to have 2 sets made. I wonder if they do notecards too. I finished designing my notecard and I’m having it printed soon.
